Job description
We have an established group of families currently accessing Wrap Around Care on our school site and are taking this in-house from September 2026.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to lead our wrap around care provision, creating a vibrant, safe and inclusive environment where children can thrive. The role will foster a nurturing setting that supports children’s social, emotional and creative development through a rich balance of structured activities, high-quality play opportunities and supportive adult interaction. A key part of the role will include overseeing bookings, communicating with families and supporting other members of staff working within the provision. Working hours will be 2.00pm - 5.45pm Monday to Friday, term time only.
The successful candidates will fit this person specification:
Essential
- Experience working with primary-aged children.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage groups of children effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
- Flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic approach.
Desirable
- Relevant childcare qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, Playwork, or equivalent).
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience leading clubs or childcare provision.
- Knowledge of school policies and procedures.
- Food hygiene qualification.
