Job description

About the Role

We are seeking an outstanding Premises Supervisor to help ensure our school provides a safe, secure and welcoming environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

This is an exciting time to join our Trust Estates team as we continue to strengthen and develop our estates service across all academies. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining our buildings and grounds, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, and supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the school.

This is a varied and hands-on role requiring a proactive individual who takes pride in high standards and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. There will also be opportunities to support and work across schools within the Trust's Crayford Hub.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Maintain the security, safety and operational effectiveness of the school site.
  • Support statutory compliance, health and safety procedures, and site inspections.
  • Carry out minor repairs, maintenance tasks and preventative works.
  • Coordinate contractors and monitor works completed on site.
  • Support cleaning, grounds maintenance and waste management activities.
  • Assist with the setup and operation of school and Trust events.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the school and wider Trust Estates team.

The successful candidate must hold a full driving licence and be able to attend the school site within 30 minutes for emergency call-outs if required.

Reporting

This role reports to the Primary Business Manager.

Staff Development

Our staff are important to us. We know that without great staff, our children will not be as successful. Therefore, Professional Learning is key to our success. As a new employee within the Trust, you will be supported by the Senior Directors of People and Professional Learning, alongside your line manager to realise your full potential. 'Our People Strategy is key to our success and integral to this is our commitment to equity, equality, diversity, and inclusion . Bringing this to life is the responsibility of every member of staff. We take seriously any behaviour which undermines it. Anyone applying to work with us, should share this commitment.’

We actively encourage applicants from colleagues from under-represented groups.
