Job description
Are you someone who takes pride in creating safe, welcoming spaces where children can thrive? Do you enjoy fixing problems, keeping things running smoothly, and being the person people can rely on? Could you see yourself playing a vital role in the daily life of a vibrant primary academy?
About You:
Woodlands Primary Academy are seeking a proactive and dependable individual who takes pride in creating a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors. You will be someone who enjoys a varied role, is happy to get stuck in, and takes satisfaction from seeing a job through to completion. Whether you're responding to a maintenance issue, helping to prepare spaces for school activities, supporting colleagues with day-to-day site requests, or ensuring the grounds remain clean and presentable, you'll understand the important role you play in the smooth running of the academy. We're looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude who remains calm under pressure and is always willing to lend a hand. Most importantly, you'll share our commitment to providing an environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive, taking pride in being part of a school community that values teamwork, reliability, and high standards.
Our Ideal candidate will have:
- GCSE English and Maths, minimum Grade 4 or equivalent
- Experience working in a maintenance environment
- Practical understanding and knowledge of health and safety and security procedures and practices
- Ability to respond swiftly and effectively to the unexpected
