Understanding Your End-of-Service Benefits (Saudi Labor Law)

Under Articles 84–85 of the Saudi Labor Law, employees are entitled to an end-of-service award based on their last wage and years of service.

The base formula

Half a month's wage for each of the first five years, then a full month's wage for each year beyond five (partial years are prorated).

Resignation reduces the award

Less than 2 years: nothing. 2 to under 5 years: one third. 5 to under 10 years: two thirds. 10 years or more: the full amount. On termination or end of contract, you receive the full award.
